Is a new health care biotechnology company dedicated to improving the quality of life of patients suffering from allergies to environmental fungi and longer term, for those with life-threatening invasive fungal infections.
We intend to develop solutions to improve the health of fungal allergy affected patients. According to The World Health Organization (WHO), allergies are the fourth most important disease in the world estimating that by 2010 between 40-50% of the world?s population could be affected. A substantial portion of this population (10-30%) will be allergic to filamentous fungi present in the environment with patients suffering from allergic rhinitis to more severe cases of asthma.Infection by filamentous fungi has become much more important as patient populations have grown.
Using rapid advances in the fields of immunology, fungal genomics, bioinformatics and protein chemistry, we are developing an innovative and patented platform of protein-based technologies to treat specific allergenic diseases.
